The Director's Cut
Salma wore a veil that danced in the sea wind for fifty yards. Karim watched her walk toward the shoreline with the kind of gaze you cannot rehearse. We filmed entirely on 50mm anamorphic glass to capture the golden flare of the desert sun setting behind the coastal mountains. The film ends not at midnight, but at 5:30 AM as the last circle of friends stepped into the warm Red Sea waters.
